Master the Art of Pottery – Wheel Throwing Course for Beginners and advanced beginners
Are you interested in learning pottery? Join our intensive 5-session course and discover the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Learn essential techniques like kneading, centering, and creating the basic cylinder shape. From the cylinder, we’ll teach you how to craft cups, bowls, or vases.
During the course, you’ll also learn:
- How to attach handles to your creations.
- How to glaze your work with a variety of options.
Course details:
- Duration: 5 sessions of 3 hours each (7 PM – 10 PM).
- Dates: Monday evenings (Nov 18, Nov 25, Dec 2, Dec 9, Dec 16).
- Location: Atelier van de Ven – Oudedijk 7, 3062AB Rotterdam.
- Instructor: Jessica van de Ven.
- Level: Beginners and advanced beginners.
- Language: Dutch and/or English.
What to bring:
- Wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty.
- We’ll provide aprons, tools, clay, and coffee/tea.
Additional costs: €10 per kg of ceramics for firing. Your creations will be ready for pickup 4-6 weeks after the course or can be shipped.
Additional notes:
- Maximum 5 students per group (minimum 2 participants required).
- Cancellations are allowed up to 2 weeks before the course starts (no refunds after this).
