Pottery workshop for beginners
During this intensive course (3 days of 5 hours) we will teach you the basics of wheel throwing. We start with steps like wedging, centering and pulling up. The next step is making the first basic shape: the cylinder. From this cylinder you will start making other shapes like cups, bowls and vases and you will learn to attach handles. In the whole process you will be guided by Jessica with pleasure and personal attention. After the course Atelier Van de Ven takes care of firing your creations in a beautiful pearlwhite colour.
What to expect:
- You will learn wheel-throwing techniques to craft bowls, cups or vases (8 pieces included in the price)
- We encourage you to add your own artistic flair to create a one-of-a-kind piece
- You will work with high quality stoneware clay
